GENERAL DIAGRAM OF THE EXHIBITION

Thematic groups

In this diagram the art works from the showing are organized around a main concept, a nucleus that we call “graphic gestures”: The perpendicular or circular lines, the first gestures or scribbles that children make, which we know correspond to the first ways of representation and are the origin of all graphic forms.

As a secondary concept, the themes that the children chose to represent were taken, and that also responded to the great genres of painting. In such a way, the works were grouped by Thematic Groups: Flowers, Landscapes (marine, rural, urban, skies, auroras, rainbows, universe) Animals, Human figure, Comic and Abstracts

The colors of each thematic group account for the categories proposed in the convocatory: Yellow, Red and Blue.

This grouping by themes and ages covers the development of children’s art, from the simplest
and most elementary signs to the most complex ones, and also the approach to movement and graphic space.
